Earliest Identity

The Daffodil is one of the oldest flowering plants identified by humans and still grown in modern gardens and lawns

The modern daffodil probably evolved in North Africa and Southern Europe, with natural habitats in modern Spain, Italy, and Morocco in the west and Greece, Turkey, and Syria in the east.

First identified as a plant species by the ancient Greek botanist Theoprhastus in his gripping non-fiction work titled “Enquiry into Plants,” it was recognized and praised for medicinal purposes.
